Mayor’s Message
Thank you for visiting the City of Port Allen website. Here you will find everything you need, whether it is fast and convenient access to city services and departments or information about Port Allen’s history, attractions, and events.
For our residents, we have worked to make as many city services as possible available on line. You can find important information about programs, events, and city council activities quickly and easily. Our goal is to place all of city government at your fingertips.
For those of you visiting Port Allen or considering a trip here, I hope you will take time to discover all that makes our city a great place to live and work.
We are a small community, but we offer a wide variety of services that include police protection, maintenance of streets and infrastructure, planning and zoning, water and gas services, recreational activities and cultural events, as well as services for the elderly.
The city of Port Allen is growing economically and it is my pleasure to call attention to a few of our assets:
- The Port of Greater Baton Rouge
- Westport Industrial Park
- Rivault Memorial, Williams & Lee, and Cohn Parks
- Levee Top River Walk
- West Baton Rouge Community Center
- West Baton Rouge Museum
- West Baton Rouge Multi-Purpose Arena
Our educational system that falls under the governance of the West Baton Rouge Parish School Board, is ranked among the best in the state.
We are one of the three governing communities that sit inside of West Baton Rouge Parish as we continuously work together to implement change that will benefit each community in our Parish.
Thank you again for your interest in our city,
Richard N. Lee, III Mayor
